      Hi there,

      Yes. The environment is in fact changing all the time. Ultimately the environment and what lives in it depends a lot on climate. Normally climate change is very gradual – occurring over many thousands of years. But human activities have caused a lot of emissions into the atmosphere and the climate has changed quite a bit, especially over the last 50 years. Even a small change in average global temperature can cause big changes in the environment – melting ice caps, loss of glaciers etc. climate, environment and our living world are all linked into one Earth system. We are part of it and we need to do something about climate change before it is too late.
