  Hi Nelson,
  Researchers have understood the disease very well over the years. We still don’t have a cure for it but we have better diagnostic instrument to check our glucose levels fast and at home. Now, we have reached at a stage where the disease can be easily managed and it’s not a life threatening disease. But can’t say enough research has been done as there are still lot of things that are researchers are trying to understand to improve the treatment outcome.
