• Question: Do you think there will be a cure for aids?

      Yes. There’s a lot of research into HIV and AIDS. If you live in a rich country like Ireland, you can get treatment that means you can live a relatively normal life. This isn’t a cure, but it does keep the disease under control.
      I would expect that a cure will be found, but I doubt it’ll be available in the next few years.

      Hi 449bera46 and 294bera46,

      There is currently no cure for AIDS or HIV infection. It was considered as a virtual death sentence in the beginning but because of scientific advances it is a manageable disease now. We have ways through which doctors can delay AIDS-related illness for many years, but the sad part is it cannot clear the virus completely. But I am sure in coming years we will have the cure for it.
