      That’s pretty easy to work out once you know it takes 365.25 days for Earth to go around the Sun and that we move in a circular orbit (roughly) of radius 150 million km.

      So circumference= 2x pi x radius= 945 million km, dividing this by the orbital period give us the average speed
      945 million/365.25 = 2.59 million km/day. This is about 108 000 km/hr or 30 kilometres per second!
