Science helps us understand the world around us, and then allows us to use this knowledge to build solutions to problems such as curing disease, building affordable houses, organising sustainable energy. Science helps people to live longer lifes and can make many aspects of life easier and more enjoyable.
Also, it keeps me employed, which is pretty important to me 🙂

Science is not the answer to everything, but it is the best approach to getting a rational, repeatable and testable theories about how the world and cosmos works, works. It has freed human beings from irrational fears and superstitions and delivered cures for diseases and improved all our lives. It has certainly given me a very interesting job that I love !
