• Question: Does science pay the bills?

      Yes….it does for me now, but for many years as a student I did not have as much money in my pocket as my friends who were working.
      Still, I would not change anything – I love my job!

      Well, my (modest) bills are covered at the moment, so yes, yes it does.
      PhD salaries are at the low end of what a scientist will get paid, so I’m expecting to be able to pay more extravagant bills in the future. My friends who are working in jobs outside of the university all seem pretty happy with their situations moneywise.

      Yea, I have Marie Curie scholarship for my post doc so they cover all my bills. And they pay a very good salary as well 🙂
