How come earth floats and is not effected by gravity but everything inside earth is effected by gravity?

Question: How come earth floats and is not effected by gravity but everything inside earth is effected by gravity?

  The Earth seems to be just floating alone in space but it isn’t.
  
  The Earth is effected by gravity all the time. It’s held in place by the Sun’s gravity and would just fly off into space if it wasn’t (the Earth is traveling at 30km/s). Gravity is one of the most important forces in the Universe, without it to hold things together, space would be even emptier than it is.

Question: How come earth floats and is not effected by gravity but everything inside earth is effected by gravity?
