      Hi Aissata86,
      Nails are made of a tough protein called keratin. It’s a similar protein found in animal hooves, feathers, horns, and claws.

      Your hair is made of Keratin as well, but the Keratin protein is arranged or bundled differently so even though its the same material it can make up radically different things like hair, nails, horns etc. just like carbon can be coal or diamond!
